YXZ 1000R Turbo Rod/Stud & Piston Kit Includes:

CROWER BILLET CONNECTING RODS:
Crower has designed these rod sets specifically for Mountain Performance. They are engineered with an I-Beam design for maximum strength while conserving as much weight as possible. Crower's patented technology is called "Radial Beam Maxi-Light". These rods are significantly lighter that other popular billet choices yet offer equal or greater strength. This has a noticeable effect of the acceleration rate of the motor and even more significantly reduces stress on the crankshaft by reducing the rotating mass.
- H-11 220,000 psi bolts are standard (compare to the competitions 180,000 psi 8740 bolts)
- Series 6 design for Supercharged/Turbocharged/Nitrous Application
- Special Chrome Moly blend rated at 170,000 psi (rod body)
- All sets are balanced, magnafluxed, hardness verified and sized to +/- 0.0001"

JE CUSTOM SPEC PISTONS:
JE pistons are great, but ask anyone who Yamaha Motors and they'll confirm that a careful balance of weight, toughness and especially the Ring Pack are Key.MPI has worked with JE to design a custom piston and OEM style ring combination eliminating oil usage, providing proper compression and providing the quick rev-ing durability we've all come to expect. These forged piston's are based on the standard JE "turbo" design with thickened ring lands. The ring land design was over 2 years in testing to yield a low leakage, long lasting design.

ARP HEAD STUDS:
MPI’s offers custom ARP studs designed for the specific YXZ Turbo application. The OE head bolt is designed to stretch as the motor heats up allowing the head to cylinder interface to be a little flexible. This is great for stock care free start up with inexperienced operators. With the addition of boost or high compression to your side by side, the soft flexible OE connection is no longer appropriate. We employ a full 10mm 200,000 PSI hardened stud. The kit includes studs, nuts and washers.Please note: When using the hardened stud you must allow the motor to reach at least 130deg of water temperature before full throttle operation.
- 200ksi hardened ARP studs
- Kit includes hardened 12pt nuts and washers
- 10mm studs (12mm studs are not appropriate because the block will not support the thinner wall of the larger hole)
